This Privacy Statement contains information on how ScreenCancer process personal information about you when you use the services ScreenCancer offers.

3.   PERSONAL INFORMATION PROCESSED

Personal information is collected directly from you when you order our tests at a pharmacy or in a clinic.

ScreenCancer only collects and processes information such as: name, address, age, gender, phone number, email address and the necessary health information related to the service we provide to you.

4.   PURPOSE AND LEGALITY OF TREATMENT

Your personal information is processed for the purpose of conducting the tests you order and for delivering test results to you. The legal basis for processing your personal information is the consent you give us when you order our tests in the pharmacies. We only process health information that is necessary for us to provide the services you request that is related to medical diagnostics and health care delivery.

5.   SECURITY, CONFIDENTIALITY AND PROVISION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The personal data that is collected is stored in an electronic system that processes and controls the information in accordance with the privacy and health legislation. Personal information about you is collected by personnel where you attend for your appointment and sent for review by ScreenCancer health care professionals.

Disclosure of your personal data to external third parties who use the personal data for their own purposes, will only take place after your explicit consent is given in writing or when there is a legal basis for such disclosure.

Electronic transmission of patient information will only occur in the unidentified or encrypted form. Our system is based on a two-factor login, so that information is kept secure.

To provide adequate medical assistance, ScreenCancer may disclose health information to collaborating laboratories with whom ScreenCancer has an agreement, and in some cases to the GP and other collaborating personnel for medical treatment purposes, if such disclosure is agreed with you. Cooperating companies and personnel have the same duty of confidentiality as ScreenCancer’s own employees.

All dissemination of test results and other patient information will take place between ScreenCancer`s staff and you. If you participate in a business program, you can rest assured that the employer will only receive anonymized statistical information that cannot be linked to you as an individual, and only to the extent that the legislation provides access to the dissemination of such information.

Information related to your tests and test results can be used, in anonymized form, for statistical and research purposes. It will not be technically possible to connect the data used for such purposes to your identity.

6.   DURATION

The personal data will not be stored for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which the information is intended. The personal data will be anonymized or deleted after the test results have been delivered to the customer and no further investigation of the completed tests is required. Nevertheless, personal data will be stored for a longer period in cases where health or other legislation requires it.

7.   RIGHTS OF THE REGISTERED

In accordance with applicable privacy regulations, you have the right to access the personal data that ScreenCancer processes about you; right to correction; right to deletion and right to restriction of usage.  Furthermore, you have the right to receive personal information about yourself and to transfer it, or to have it transmitted when technically possible to another provider.

The right of deletion shall not apply if the treatment is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation or for the public interest.

ScreenCancer reserves the right to modify or update this privacy statement. The modified / updated terms will apply both to the processing of information already collected and to information processed after the updated privacy statement has been published on our website.

ScreenCancer’s website contains cookies. Cookies are a data set of text that is stored on your machine when you browse the web. The purpose of cookies is to use information (such as your IP address) for statistical purposes or to customize information when navigating the Internet.
