ScreenCancer Overview

This year more than 11 million people around the world will be diagnosed with cancer and more than 8 million will die from the disease. In the United States, one person dies from cancer every minute and 1 of every 4 deaths are from cancer.[1]

Many of these deaths could have been prevented if people had regular cancer screening rather than waiting for symptoms to arise.

Early detection is the best weapon against cancer mortality – survival rates for cancers which are detected early through the use of cancer screening tests are high. Yet, the vast majority of people still do not get screened for cancer regularly.

"A risk ignored is a risk retained"

The mission of ScreenCancer is to increase global cancer screening rates by creating programs tailored to the needs of health plans, self-insured employers, and private individuals
