About ScreenCancer USA

In 2009, it is estimated that more than 1.4 million people in the United States will be diagnosed with cancer, and more than 560,000 will die of cancer [1] .

The direct and indirect costs of cancer are astronomical and projected at more than $200 billion annually.

It is estimated that as many as 35% of cancer deaths could have been avoided through cancer screening. [2] Cancers that are diagnosed late, after symptoms develop, are more difficult and more costly to treat. A later stage cancer diagnosis can also mean higher long term costs, more missed days from work, and a greater impact on long term quality of life.

While medical experts continue to stress the importance of cancer screening, screening rates in the U.S. are woefully inadequate.

ScreenCancer USA was founded to address this critical need for more widespread cancer screening.

In 2008, ScreenCancer introduced the ScreenCancer NavigatorTM service to provide patient education and active management of cancer screening, thereby reducing costs of advanced cancer treatment, increasing member and employee satisfaction, improving HEDIS scores, and most importantly saving lives through early cancer detection.
